Stunning Museum Quality Rare 1940s "by Iris" Iris Lingerie by Sylvia Pedlar Lace Trimmed Champagne Silk Slip Dress / Fully gathered silk at front and back neckline trimmed by ruffled fine mesh lace / Two small self silk bows on left and right of front bust / Silk waist belt and belt loops / Pedlar aka "The Dior of lingerie" pioneered many women’s sleepwear styles of the 20th century including the peignoir and was majorly influenced by victorian lingerie. Very similar designs by Sylvia are featured at the Costume institute of the Met.
